Biography
The person behind the mission
Gregory C. Johnson was a United States Navy pilot and NASA astronaut who flew as pilot on STS-125 in 2009, the fifth and final Hubble Space Telescope servicing mission. Because the mission's orbit made a Shuttle rescue impossible if Atlantis were damaged, a second Shuttle, Endeavour, was kept ready on a nearby launch pad for the full duration of the flight.
